Christian Myths

Messiah tells us that many will come in his name saying that He is the savior, but they will also lie and deceive many. Mathew 24:11. Therefore, we cannot rely on people to tell us the truth. We must verify everything according to scripture.

If we do not study the Bible ourselves, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we cannot decern lies from truth.

“Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Isiah 2:22

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Psalms 118:8

Rome has perverted the Word of the Almighty for nearly two thousand years.  They have blended paganism into the Church and even changed the Ten Commandments. They have no authority to do this.

1. Is Christmas a true Christian holiday?

No Christmas is rooted in paganism.

Please watch this video for a very helpful and thorough explanation.

Christmas is a man-made tradition: the way of the Nicolaitans.

December 25 directly coincides with the Winter Solstice and Saturnalia- the ancient pagan celebration of the pagan god Saturn that included human sacrifice rituals. The Romans adopted much of their traditions from the ancient Babylonians. Research for yourself.

Paganism is the worship of false dieties.

What does a Christmas tree have to do with Christ? Nothing.

The Christmas tree is an Asherah pole, symbol of worship of the pagan goddess Asherah/Ishtar (queen of heaven) and Nimrod of ancient Babylon, mentioned in the Bible.

“Hear the word that the Lord has spoken to you, house of Israel. This is what the Lord says: Do not learn the way of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, although the nations are terrified by them, for the customs of the people are worthless. Someone cuts down a tree from the forest; it is worked by the hands of a craftsman with a chisel. He decorates it with silver and gold. It is fastened with hammer and nails, so it won’t totter. Like scarecrows in a cucumber patch, their idols cannot speak. They must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them for they can do no harm- and they cannot do any good.” Jeremiah 10:1-5

Do not set up an Asherah of any kind of wood next to the alter you will build for the Lord your God, and do not set up a sacred pillar; the Lord your God hates them.” Deuteronomy 16:21

“Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.” Deuteronomy 12:30-32

The Israelites did what was evil in the Lord’s sight; they forgot the Lord their God and worshipped the Baals and the Asherahs.” Judges 3:7

Pagan practices lead to depravity and death. Leviticus 18:1-5, Romans 1&2

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.” 1 Corinthians 10:21

“Pagan” is a nice way of saying Satanic.

Read the Book of Enoch, it explains Genesis 6:1-4

The “gods” of the ancient civilizations are the fallen angels. These are devils.

2. Is Easter a true Christian holiday? No

“Easter” is not a Biblical celebration of the Resurrection of the Messiah.

Where does the word “Easter” come from?

“Easter” got its name from a pagan goddess named Eostre, also known as Asherah and Ishtar, who is a semi-mythical figure dating back thousands of years before Christ.

She was a ruler of ancient Babylon, and was worshipped in other pagan eras, to whom were ascribed the traits of a god- specifically a god of fertility and life.

Human sacrifice rituals were performed yearly during festivals that were established in her honor. Eggs and rabbits were part of that celebration with human sacrifice rituals of babies with the eggs dipped in their blood. Hence we have the coloring of eggs during Easter today.

Does the Bible warn us to refrain from adopting the ways of the heathens/pagans? Yes

“Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of the Almighty, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of the Almighty, that ye may keep your own tradition.” Mark 7:7-9

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:2

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.” 1 Corinthians 10:21

“The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Almighty: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?” Jeremiah 7:18-19

Is it OK to adopt Easter since we are celebrating Christ in our hearts? No

“Yeshua saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:21-24

3 Christ died on Friday and rose on Sunday? No

The church teaches us to commemorate the crucifixion of Son of God on Good Friday and His Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Is this biblically accurate? No

The prophet Daniel tells us that the Messiah will be killed in the middle of the week and thus ends sacrificial law. (Wednesday)

“And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering.” Danial 9:27

Can we confirm this with the New Testament? Yes

  • First, we need to understand that a day begins at dawn. See Genesis 1 & 2

God created, saw it was good, then evening, then morning: Day 1. And so on.

Therefore, the weekly Sabbath also begins at dawn.

We cannot confuse this with a high Sabbath, which is part of a feast, that begins the evening before. See Leviticus 23

  • Let’s trace Messiah’s steps:

The Messiah observed the Passover meal- Tuesday evening.

The Pharisees observed their Passover the evening after the Messiah observed His Passover.  Which day would have been correct? Messiah knows best.

“And it came to pass, when Yeshua had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.” Mathew 26:1-2

“And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Yeshua had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.” Mathew 26:18-20

2. He was crucified and entombed the next day, Wednesday. (a “high Sabbath”- first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread)

“When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Yeshua to put him to death: And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.” Mathew 27:1-2

“Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Yeshua, he delivered him to be crucified.” Mathew 27:26

“When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Yeshua's disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Yeshua. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.” Mathew 27:60

3. The Messiah was in the tomb for 3 days.

“From that time on Yeshua began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.” Mathew 16:21

4. The Messiah rose on the third day- the weekly Sabbath- which is Saturday.

(By Sunday at dawn He was already risen and gone out of the tomb.)

“In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Yeshua, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Messiah lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.” Mathew 28:1-7

  1. “Once Saved Always Saved” Fact or Fiction?

Salvation can be lost.

The concept that once you are saved you cannot be lost is unbiblical. The Bible has several examples of people who were saved, in a relationship with the Almighty, and were even Spirit-filled.  Then they turned away from Yah.
King Saul was chosen by Yah, anointed, filled with the Spirit, but he became proud and rebellious against the Father and killed himself (See 1 Samuel).

Judas was sent out preaching with the other 11 disciples, yet he kept clinging to covetousness until he denied the Messiah and sold Him out for 30 pieces of silver. Judas hanged himself and lost his salvation.  Matthew 26:24 tells us “The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.”

Ezekiel details a man who was righteous and then turns away from the narrow path:

“But when the righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die.” Ezekiel 18:24

In other words, a person who was righteous can indeed turn away and be lost.

Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering.”  Why would a person need to “hold fast” once they are saved?

The Bible doesn’t say that once we are saved, we can turn from faithful obedience or that we can ignore the 10 Commandments. In fact, Scripture tells us that if we willfully sin after we have been born again, there is not another sacrifice to save us from the second death.

“Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works, Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. For if we sin willfully after we have received a knowledge of the truth there remains no more sacrifice for sins but a certain fearful looking forward to of judgment.” Hebrews 10:24-26

Our Messiah will never let us go, but we are certainly able to let go of Him if we choose.

Paul even tells us that it is possible to be cast away, and he says this even though he had a spirit-filled, saved relationship with the Almighty.

“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air; But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway” 1 Corinthians 9:24–27

We are to be careful and cherish the salvation given to us, and never turn our backs on His sacrifice.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. 2 Peter 2:20-22

Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. I John 3:6

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. I John 5:2-4

It’s when we choose to turn from His will and go our own way that we are in danger.  Seek Him daily.

As Paul said in I Corinthians, “I die daily.” He chose every day to say no to living for himself, to die to self, and be born again unto Yah.

On a daily basis, rededicate yourself to Him.

Dying to yourself daily means that you will keep your relationship with God.

Keep improving, increasing your faith.

Endure and overcome.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
